19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his maiden title for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has had a torrid period, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serve in specific - led to him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately separating with long-term trainer his previous coach.
Presently working with his coach and his other coach, he has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's first trophy after the Rome competition and first on a hard court after spring of 2023.
Success also means the Russian has achieved 21 titles at 21 different competitions.
"For the first time I'm at a tournament with my children together, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I got when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his previous six finals, featuring in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's defensive approach and recurring reactions on the playing surface had led some to question if his ability to compete at the elite level was finished.
But the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and play aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
The champion came back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult opponent, winning 4 of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
Both players traded breaks in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to force a third set.
The opponent rescued 4 early opportunities in a tight final set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned the title with a shot at the net area, with Moutet failing to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
